Oh gosh I am so excited and happy because my friends have just had a beautiful baby girl!
This red corduroy blanket (the scalloped baby blanket from Amy Karol’s brilliant Bend-the-Rules Sewing) has been waiting a while for her arrival, to find out what letter I should appliqué onto it. And now it’s ready, with a letter ‘F’ for Francesca. I can’t wait to go visit her and congratulate her happy parents!

Not too bad, but I was glad it was only a baby sized blanket!

Gosh, aren’t you clever to make that! It’s lovely and Francesca (pretty name) will be very cosy.

I dreamt I met Francesca last night! Even as a figment of my imagination she was very cute. I just ordered ‘Bend-the-Rules’ for myself so that I can begin to play with my sewing machine.

Ooh jolly good. I think you’ll find it a good book to start with. It’s quite fun looking at the Flickr group with people’s projects from the book.
