Urban foxiness

casual fox

So, I popped into my garden this afternoon and was greeted by this sleek little chappy. It took me a while to open the patio door, as I didn’t want to disturb him, but he just watched me fiddling with the locks and posed for the camera in all his foxy glory. As soon as I called my husband over, though, he decided that it was time to make his exit – instinct or intelligence, he’d clearly surmised that little ol’ girly me was not a threat, but big manly Simon was.

He walked off down the garden wall, but, as I stepped into the garden, he came trotting back up to his original basking place – so close that he could have leapt for my face if he chose – and stared me out. Urbanised as he was, I knew that he was showing me who he thought was boss. Then he hopped off into the next garden. Now, I’m a city girl through and through – animals confuse me and make me nervous; but I’ve seen so much wildlife since I moved to London that I’m kind of getting used to them. Just don’t put me in a field with a cow.

    Hi Kristy,

That fox found you and so did I! Wonderful stone wall, must be pretty old.
It seems as if you and your 3 friends are having a great time with this blog. I’m thrilled with it all! Knitting, screen printing, the crazy light bulb and my favorite color “Green” (it is the healing color…). Thanks!

Gosh, he is a brave fox. Aren’t they normally nocturnal? Perhaps being out in the day shows a foxy equivalent of insomnia.

And hello Lisa! Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. I’m so glad you are enjoying the blog.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your preferred earphones, head down to a Greatest Purchase and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which a single sounds much better to you, and which interface makes you smile additional. Then you’ll know which is correct for you.
