Sack Boys – big and small

Despite his lack of a Playstation, Simon decided that he wanted his very own Sack Boy for Christmas. When I finished the first one, he decided that he wanted two. Although neither attempt went exactly to plan, I think that these two little guys have a certain charm of their own.
Original Sack Boy is “knitted”, but I thought that would be a little too complex for my limited skills and decided to crochet him instead. I couldn’t find a pattern that I liked (there’s a huge internet furour going on about crafters releasing their own Sack Boy patterns – everyone has Sony Fear), so I kind of winged it and there are things that I could have done better, but I’m fairly pleased with the end results. The big Sack Boy needed a shorter neck and I didn’t even attempt the zips – originally, Simon wanted the body to be a zipped compartment that he could keep things in, but then I gave him the moon on a stick and he was happy with that instead.
I’m not going to share my pattern – partly because I don’t really remember what I did and partly because I’m too poor to get sued – but if you fancied making your own Sack-type Boys, it’s fairly easy to get a basic shape. If it’s a bit wonky, all that better!
